Break a Board started as more than just a videography account. I could’ve posted surf videos under my own name but building something around community felt way more real, and that’s what pushed me to start this project.
I’ve always liked messing around with a pencil and a blank page. Months before I even thought about creating a surf media brand, I drew a dude surrounded by chaos, with the words “Break a Board” above him… like he was telling you to do it.
Some people say it’s like “break a leg,” meaning good luck. To me, it’s more about sending it. It doesn’t matter if your board is brand new, aim to break it. Don’t back down when you’re at the peak of a wave on a heavy set. Commit.
I’ve even caught myself saying it in my head out in the water.

In addition to producing surf films, Break a Board also focuses on short-form content designated to elevate surfer's portfolios, and help surf shops and brands continue building their online presence.
These pieces highlight style and performance in a way that's tailored for modern platforms.
