Moving to Florida a year ago, I met Jake and Jay, two local surfers from the Treasure Coast. We spent most of 2025 filming sessions together, and when I heard DIY Surf Film Fest was hosting an event featuring surf films by independent filmmakers, it felt like the perfect opportunity to put something together.

 

“Last Frames” is a short surf edit inspired by South Florida’s nature and countryside, featuring some of my favorite moments we captured this year. Some of the footage was filmed during Hurricane Erin’s swell, showing rain clouds, heavy winds, and gray skies, which set the perfect scenery for a darker surf edit.

 

A new move is coming up. I couldn’t be more grateful for the time I’ve spent, the people I’ve met, and all the stories this place left me with.
